03Location & Qibla

Location is used only to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction. By default we use a coarse, city-level location. Precise location is requested only when you tap "use my exact spot" on the Qibla compass.

Your location is processed on-device and never transmitted to our servers. You can disable location entirely and enter a city manually in Settings.

04Notifications & Adhan

With your permission, Sabri schedules local notifications for prayer times and reminders. These are generated on your device. We don't send push notifications from our servers to your phone for prayer times — that means they work in airplane mode and contain no analytics signal.

05Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which features people use, so we can make better ones. Specifically:

• No third-party trackers (no Facebook SDK, no Google Analytics)
• Events are aggregated and anonymous
• No advertising IDs are collected or shared
• You can opt out in Settings → Privacy → Analytics

06Subscriptions

Subscription purchases happen through Apple. Apple shares with us only the receipt validation status — not your name, address, or payment method. The receipt is validated against your device, and Premium is unlocked locally. If you cancel, Apple notifies us; the receipt is retained for tax-reporting purposes for the period required by Qatari law.

07Noor AI data

When you chat with Noor, your message is sent to our AI provider for processing. Conversations are:

• Stored only on your device — they never leave it, except as the single request to our AI provider
• Not used to train third-party foundation models
• Sent without any account identifier (there is no account)
• Deletable from Settings → Noor → Clear all conversations

We may keep a small, anonymous sample of conversations to improve safety filters. You can opt out in Settings.

08Sharing & third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We share the minimum necessary data with these service providers:

• Apple — App distribution, in-app purchases, push notification delivery for non-prayer reminders.
• Our AI provider — Noor message processing only. No persistent identifiers shared.
• Crash reporting — Anonymous diagnostic information.

09Retention

Because Sabri has no accounts, there is no server-side personal data to retain. Your display name, streaks, bookmarks, and conversations live on your device until you clear the app or delete them in Settings. We retain limited records (subscription receipts) only where required by law. Anonymous analytics aggregates are kept indefinitely; they cannot be linked back to you.

10Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — it's already in your hands; export from Settings → Export my data
• Correct inaccurate data — edit it directly in the app
• Delete your data — clear it in Settings, or delete the app
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent for analytics or Noor at any time

EU/UK residents: you have rights under GDPR. California residents: you have rights under CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any of these, email saproductionns@gmail.com.

11Children's privacy

Sabri is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please email us and we will delete it immediately. For users 13–17, we recommend parental involvement; we do not require additional consent but do not show ads or process data for marketing.

12Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, strict access controls, and regular third-party audits. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify you within 72 hours of any incident affecting your data.

13International transfers

Our servers are located in the European Union. If you use Sabri from outside the EU, your data is transferred under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

14Changes

If we update this policy in ways that affect you, we'll let you know in-app at least 14 days before changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
